Mitzvah Day 2018

Here at GEDDES, we’re always happy to support organizations that are doing important work, and we were very happy to contribute school supplies to the Jewish Museum of Maryland’s Mitzvah Day event on December 25, 2018.

The Jewish Museum of Maryland is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and studying the history and material culture Maryland Jewry with exhibitions, programs, and activities that interpret the American Jewish experience for diverse audiences, foster cross-cultural understanding, and promote public discourse about issues in Jewish and American life.

The Museum participated in Mitzvah Day, a citywide day of service in Baltimore helping those who are less fortunate, by building backpacks full of school supplies and handwritten notecards for students at the Esperanza Center.

The Esperanza Center is an immigration resource center whose mission is to welcome immigrants by offering hope, compassionate services, and the power to improve their lives.
